Tree climbing
As I climbed up the first step, I felt my legs start to shake. I heard my friends cheering me on. My foot levelled a foot hold and' my hand felt around a spiky branch. I climbed further on and manoeuvred my self up the tree like a monkey. But then the foot holds came to a end. I reached my hand up to the rusty old bell that didn't make a sound. "Bananas" I yelled out to my team below and they slowly abseiled me down. As my feet hit the ground, My legs crumpled and I nearly feel to the ground, but I steadied myself and went round to help my team. The next person went climbing up the sticky sappy pine tree.

Wow Rosie, I love it. I can see a sentence beginning with a clause, similes, adjectives, amazing vocabulary and a story that draws me in. I am so glad to be able to share in your writing again.
ReplyDeleteChallenge:
Try using some short sentences like...
My legs crumpled. I nearly fell to the ground.
Awesome Rosie
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you said ''I climbed further on and manoeuvred myself up the tree like a monkey.''
