Penguin Team Work (100 word challenge)

A killer whale swam around the iceberg “Those penguins are not getting away today no they are not. Now I need to make a mischievous plan. I could lure them in with a fish ,yes I will do that.”  Little did he know that a little penguin was listening and he had heard every word. He quickly hurried back to tell the other penguins. “Haul the rope we need to get that whale before he gets us. It’s war of the Whales!” The Penguins and Whales were all busy working trying to build traps before the other team did!

Swimming Sports Day (100 word challenge)

Andy peered into his bag nervously.  Andy’s grandma had bought him some new togs.  He wasn’t keen on this idea because she was colour blind. It couldn’t be that bad he thought.  Inside the bag were disco-coloured togs with flashing dinosaurs. “I can’t wear this, I’ll be the laughing stock”  Andy groaned and looked over at the lost property box.  He had no choice. He desperately searched through the smelly piles of clothes and put on the only pair of togs - candyfloss pink kitten togs.
Finally on the starting platform. “WAIT!” A little girl runs up “Are these yours Andy?”

ANZAC Cove (100 word challenge)

BANG! The gun shots could be heard for miles. We tried to scramble onto shore, shrapnel  flying everywhere and I can feel my own breath against my hand. We run up the muddy steep bank. I can smell blood and sweat, a hot wind blowing in my face. I hide behind a bush and fire up at the Turks. There is utter silence then a massive BOOM! I can hear screams and in front of me I see a explosion - hot metal flies everywhere. Why did I come here. It’s not a big adventure. Am I going to die?
